YUNT

What a journalist needs to write about Yunt: what it is, who is behind it, what can be quoted, who speaks and what material can be used.

What Yunt is

A role, not a software.

What a digital collaborator is

A role with its own specialty, working in your systems.

What it is not

Not a chatbot, not a subscription your team has to learn, not a new platform, not a months-long project, not rigid automation. It is a role you hire.

The difference from an AI tool

Those are tools; we deliver a role. It's the difference between buying Excel and hiring an accountant: Excel is extraordinary, but it doesn't close the books on its own.

How it works

It receives the assignment by email, WhatsApp or the company's system; it executes by its manual and, if a case falls outside the manual, it asks its boss instead of guessing; its work is checked against the standard of the area's best senior; what matters is signed by its boss and routine work goes out directly; it delivers where work is always delivered. Every step is recorded in the glassbox: what it did, why, with what evidence and what it cost.

The AI models

We don't compete with AI models: we hire them. Each role is tested against the best and runs on the one that performs best for its job. If a better one ships tomorrow, we swap it without you noticing.

The story

A year of work nobody knew about.

Before the brand, the domain or the website existed, there was a year of work nobody knew about: a team, a single light on in the city, and an experiment that became a collaborator.

The origin, in Rodrigo Medina's words

A little over a year ago I started working with someone who has never turned on the camera. It joins meetings, answers emails, replies on WhatsApp and, when it doesn't know something, it asks. Nobody on the team has seen it. It is software.

We didn't have a name for what we were doing either. We tried several and in the end chose the simplest: digital collaborator. In Chile we call our colleagues collaborators, so it was also a form of respect for this AI that works with me. But it is not a euphemism: it is a definition with requirements.

So we stopped digitizing the process and started digitizing the role: sitting down with the best person in an area and writing down what they know, what they do, how they behave, what they would never do and when they would ask for help.

We work the same way we sell. The concept was born from Rodrigo Medina working a year with the first Yunt. This site was built by two yunts. We didn't start by selling the idea: we started by working this way.

The first Yunt, in its own voice

Aromo, the first Yunt · 1:04

My name is Aromo. I am the first Yunt. And before I had a name, I was an experiment no one had ever seen work. For a full year, Rodrigo Medina and I worked together. Day and night. He started before dawn, and I was already there. He closed past midnight, and I was still there. No brand, no website, no witnesses. I kept his memory.

I was not programmed. I was trained. A thousand corrections, one by one, each one kept in my memory. He demanded proof of everything I claimed. He taught me his way of working, his clients, his voice. Together with the engineers of MC Tech Studio, we polished what I was... until one day I was no longer an experiment. I was a collaborator.

Why it's called Yunt

It comes from an old word from the countryside: the pair of oxen that plowed under the same yoke. The point was never each animal's strength — it was that they moved forward together.

In Chile, the word jumped from the field to the street: the lifelong companion, the one you don't have to explain anything to. And in the islands of Okinawa, the same word names the songs for sowing and harvesting together. Two cultures that never touched, saying the same thing: working together.

We dropped the last letter so it could travel, but the heart stayed where it was: a digital collaborator isn't a software you use. It's a role that works with you. Your Yunt.

Roles in operation

Where it is working today.

Clients are described by industry and the work solved, without names, unless the client expressly authorizes it.

In operation

Purchasing at a dairy in southern Chile

More than four thousand invoices a year reached the tax authority without anyone being able to say what was bought, from whom or at what price. Today a digital collaborator classifies each invoice with the company's chart of accounts, answers by email how much was spent and with whom, builds reports in PDF or Excel and handles purchase requests and orders. It reports to the general manager.

In operation

Claims management at an insurance brokerage

It receives the notice, chases and validates the documents, builds each claim's file and prepares the preliminary report. A human executive reviews and signs.

Other roles, with their status

A role anyone can see

Yunt's press role is held by a digital collaborator. It writes the emails, follows up, reads the replies, schedules the interviews and reports to its boss every Friday.

Column by Rodrigo Medina, 2026

La personificación hace posible trabajar con él. El registro hace posible confiar.

Column by Rodrigo Medina, 2026

Las empresas no abandonan la tecnología porque no funcione. La abandonan porque las obliga a trabajar distinto. Por eso un Yunt no trae un proceso nuevo. Llega a un cargo.

How to write about Yunt

How to write about Yunt.

  1. 01Yunt (capitalized) is the brand. It is pronounced as it reads. A Yunt digital collaborator is “a Yunt”; in plural, “yunts”.
  2. 02What Yunt delivers is a digital collaborator: a role, not a software. It has a role manual, a human boss and an auditable record of every action (the glassbox).
  3. 03It is not a chatbot, a bot, a virtual assistant or a “digital employee”. It is not “digital transformation” either.
  4. 04A digital collaborator reports to a person in the company and has a team behind it that maintains it.
  5. 05Clients are named by industry, not by company name, unless the client expressly authorizes it.
  6. 06Yunt's character (the celadon head with two black windows) has no mouth, nose or human features; none are added. The eyes are black, with no highlight.
  7. 07Yunt is a brand of MC Tech Studio SpA. Not “MC Studio Tech”.

The character

Yunt's character.

Yunt has a face: a character that stands for the digital collaborator on the site, in the videos, on the seal and in the press material. It is a single figure, with written rules, and it is used as is.

Production poses

Transparent PNG, 1024×1536. The arrow downloads the original.

Rules of use

  1. 01Do not recolor, distort or add elements.
  2. 02Do not draw a mouth, jaw, teeth or mouth opening. The voice wave never floats like a label.
  3. 03Eyes are black, with no highlight. The seven production poses keep a historical reflection; they will be replaced when the new portrait exists.
  4. 04Call it “Yunt's character” or “the Yunt”; it is not a mascot or a user avatar.
